I'm excited for you to hear “I Know That Voice” if you haven't already heard it! It's pretty much how it all went down as best as I remember it.
I'm elated to have worked with the likes of Nashville session drummer Steve Brewster, guitarists extraordinaire Jerry McPherson and Dave Cleveland, Keys specialists Jeff Roach and Jason Webb, bassists Matt Pierson and Jacob Lowery, and Grammy award winning producer Ronnie Brookshire. I'm mentioning these names because what you're hearing is the best of the best. These guys are Nashville A-lister's and they elevate me and my music to places I definitely could not take it on my own. They pursue excellence and it shows. If you're an artist in search of some quality people to work with, reach out to me and I can put you in touch.
One of my newer recordings is an original called "Hold You Back". Disclaimer.... It's written wrong. That is, the most poignant moment and twist lyrically is the very last line in the song. In today's market, I realize that's all wrong. I'm supposed to hook you as a listener early and have you soaring by the middle of the first chorus, yada, yada. Well,... I'm also an artist so I took creative liberty with this, hopefully for the benefit of the critical listener and deep thinker... as I myself tend to do where my music is concerned. Stick with me on this one... the payoff is worth it. Meantime, there's some deep-thinkin' lyrics and spectacular musicianship along the way to get us there as I've made reference to above. Oh,… and it's one of the few songs (if any) that I know of that has a hammered dulcimer solo. :P
My song “Stranded” is available currently only on this website. I'll be releasing it on all platforms later. It's sort of like my Viking praise song. You'll have to give it a listen to hear what I mean. It has an altro on hammered dulcimer for all you folks that are fans of that instrument.
I've also recorded a cover of Rich Mullins' "Creed". I've played and performed it a good bit. (Just ask my family that have to live with me). As such, I ended up practicing and messing around with it so much that I began experimenting and came up with my own sort of "rocked out" version of it. I guess I sort of wanted to tip my hat to the music and artists that have been inspirational to me along the way... a huge one of which was Rich Mullins. I have to admit... I always felt that "Creed" could be turned up a notch or two for my liking... you know.... something that would make you want to crank it in the car... so yeah,... I'm going down that road while still trying to hold true to the sacred territory that I know that song is for so many.
My songs are also available on all streaming platforms if you search by my name… but if you'd like your own digital copy, you've come to the right place.
Stay Tuned!
